Local 7800 of the Canadian Union of Public Employees represents more than 3,000 employees of the Hamilton Health Sciences. While we don't represent doctors or RN's, we do represent almost everyone else who works in Hamilton's hospital complexes.

Our membership is diverse and skilled. Our Registered Practical Nurses provide all kinds of patient care. Our technicians work in labs or operate complex diagnostic equipment. Our environmental aides are responsible for ensuring that patient rooms are sanitary and comfortable. Other Local 7800 members maintain the hospital's heating, cooling and electrical systems. Still others ensure the safety of patient food.
